cool and funny part of the book

one of my favorite parts of this book is when ford perfect and arthur dent hitch a ride on one of the vogon ships. because vogons speak an entirely different language than humans, ford puts a creature called a fish (which is also leech-like) into arthur's ear. the fish translates what the vogons are saying. i like this because it was kind of a cool part of the book.

Hitchhikers Guide To The
book review: "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a sci-fi story that is now very popular and has a television series and a movie. It is about a small band of characters named Arthur Dent, Ford Perfect, Trillian, Zaphod Breeblebrox, and a depressed robot named Marvin. In the book, Arthur is taken from earth literally seconds before it is completely destroyed to make way for a hyperspace bypass. He and Ford Perfect then hitch a ride on a vogon (vogons are aliens that have horrible poetry, which they use to torture prisoners) ship to get away from earth. From then on, they spend an entire book going through space having weird and wacky adventures. Overall, an okay book. But there is one part that is pretty mind boggling. A giant computer tells us the meaning of life (which in the book is called "the great question") and says the answer of the great question is "42". I got a little confused at this. What does this mean? Why is the meaning of life the number 42? But anyway, this book was pretty cool. I do recommend.
